FAQs
What are the hours of operation?
The lobby is open Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and Saturday and Sunday, 10 AM - 5 PM. For the safety of the dogs and employees we do not open the doors outside the normal business hours.
What times can I drop off and pick up my dog?
We run things similar to a hotel for boarding guests. Our normal drop off time is between 1:00 PM and closing. We allow earlier drop off for an additional fee. The normal pick up time is from opening until 1:00 PM. If you cannot pick up by 1:00 PM, you will have until closing time on that day to pick up your dog for an additional fee. For a description of the fees, please visit the Boarding section.
For our DayCampers, we are open Monday – Friday from 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM for drop off and pick up.
Can my dog share a room with my neighbor or relatives dog?
We restrict sharing of rooms to dogs that live in the same household due to the risk of something happening between the dogs when they are not as familiar with each other as those who live together.
Why is my dog so tired after they come home?
Our saying is “A Tired Dog Is A Good Dog.” When they board with us; they get 4 hours of play with the other dogs each day. This has a tendency to make the dogs very tired, especially after boarding for several days.
The DayCampers get up to 12 hours of play time per day. They leave DogDayz tired each day. Watch our webcams during the day and you will find out what we are talking about.
Can I take a tour?
We have an open door policy, meaning, anytime we are open, you are more than welcome to stop by and see us as we work and perform our daily chores. It is important to us for you to see our facility and staff in a normal working situation. This is how it will be while your dog is here with us.
Do you require a dog to be spayed or neutered?
If they are older than 6 months of age, they must be spayed or neutered to be in our community play areas. Between 6-12 months we will judge your dog on a case by case basis. After 1 year of age, if your dog is not spayed or neutered, they can board at DogDayz but they will be kept out of our community play areas.
What shots are required?
Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Bordatella all need to be up to date. We require the Bordatella to be updated every six months. With the interaction among our guests we want a little extra protection.
Why do I need to fill in a new check-in sheet for every stay?
We require this because certain information may change from stay to stay. Medications, emergency contacts, feeding instructions, and food allergy issues may change. We want to ensure we have the proper information to care for each of our guests.
Do I need a reservation for my dog to come to DayCamp?
We require a reservation for the dog(s) first day of daycamp. For this free evaluation day we also require that they arrive shortly after 6:30 AM. This will allow the dog to become comfortable in the facility and play area before they are introduced to the other dogs. We have found this is the best way to help each dog have a successful first visit.
During peak boarding times (i,e. Spring Break, Thanksgiving, or Christmas) we may limit the number of day campers and require reservations. If so, we will post this information in advance.
Other than these instances no reservations are required.
